Your inner ear is made up of tubes and canals which are connected to our brain. Through these tubes messages are sent for two things. Initially when one’s inner ear is infected, one may have fever, headaches, neck and joint pain, vomiting, double vision and ringing in the ear. These are the earlier symptoms of inner ear infection. Patients may even have temporary hearing loss.

When the infection gets more serious then there are different symptoms for it. Movement of your head causes you a lot of pain. Depression, anxiety, fatigue and panic attacks also become more frequent. Sometimes your speech is also impaired. This may also cause permanent hearing loss. Patients of this ear infection also suffer from vertigo. Vertigo is another symptom of the later stage of infection and it is when a person has the sensation of spinning but it’s different from dizziness.
