Introduction to Pain in right side
The abdominal pain is a common symptom for numerous diseases. These pains are localized in many areas for instance pain in the right side, pain in the left side and pain in the stomach. These pains occur due to many viruses and bacteria. Pain in right side of the human abdomen can occur due to many reasons.

Types of pain in right side
There are numerous conditions due to which the pain in right side can occur. These can include the gall bladder, appendicitis and ovarian cysts. Given below are the causes for these pain symptoms in right side of abdomen.
Appendicitis is very commonly related to the pain in the right side of abdomen. The appendix is 3.5 inches long. It is a tube of tissue which reaches into large intestine. If a stoppage in the appendix occurs, then an infection materializes. The appendix swells up due to the infection and needs to be treated before it gets ruptured. For curing the pain in the right side, appendectomy is necessary and should be done immediately.
Gallstone
The abdominal pain in the right side is also related to gall stones. The gall bladder is an organ which stores bile which is secreted by the liver and is called gall stones. There are numerous kinds of gall stones. Cholesterol and pigment gall stones are black and brown colored. To get rid of pain in right side and gall stones, cholesystectomy is required.
Ectopic pregnancy
The pregnant women may feel pain in right side or left side of their abdomen. If the pain is persistent, then it is an ectopic pregnancy. The ectopic pregnancy is when the fertilized egg is deposited outside the uterus, in the fallopian tubes. The occurring pain is determined on which side the egg has fallen. The pregnancy should be terminated if this occurs, as this can result in pain in right side.
Ovarian cysts
The ovarian cysts can cause pain in right side and the mechanism behind is that within the ovary, cysts are formed and causes infertility in women. It can also cause ovarian cancer. The ovarian cysts can be removed by surgery and the surgery is called laparoscopy/laparotomy.
Reasons for pain in right side
The pain in the right side can be a resultant of many problems. The word stomach should not be used for stomach intestines as there are many other organs too in the region. The pain in right side can be due to problem in liver, kidney, bladder and stomach. Also, other reasons for pain in right side are problematic adrenal glands, pancreas, colon and spleen. Hernia, ovary cysts and food poisoning can cause pain in right side too. So, abdominal pain in right side or left side should be taken seriously and seek medical attention immediately.
